I live in Massachusetts with my husband, artist John Folley, and growing little family.

I am deeply fortunate to have grown up in a lively family environment and tight-knit community in which my artistic skills and hobbies were encouraged and enabled by my loved ones and friends. My grandmother, artist Elizabeth Day Edwards, gave my my first lessons and set me on an artistic trajectory. I studied under John Schmitt, son of Carl Schmitt, and did further training in drawing, figure drawing, and watercolor at The Catholic University of America.

Pysanky was a annual pastime, embedded in my family's celebration at Easter. I became serious about Pysanky, and started doing it throughout the year, around my senior year of high school.

I began styling hair on Felicity (my American Girl doll) as a child, and never stopped. I owe much of my self-taught skill to my sisters, who all have beautiful, thick hair and a willingness to sit and be my guinea pigs; and my friends, who knew how to dress up for high school and college dances.
